Removing black borders (vignette) in Lightroom
BEGINNER LEVEL
There are 2 quick ways in Lightroom to remove black borders on the outside of a photo. Such an edge is also called vignette or vignetting. Especially cheaper lenses suffer a bit more from this. Sometimes it can be annoying or sometimes it makes the photo more powerful, that choice we leave to you the photographer of course!
All topics discussed are from the DEVELOPMENT module performed.
Helpful tip, press the "D" key and you'll come directly from your Library in the Develop module

Via EFFECTS
From the EFFECTS menu you can remove or even add the black borders if desired. Move the "Amount" slider and you will immediately see the result on the screen.
Via LENSCORRECTIONS
Another way is to have Lightroom remove it automatically. Go to menu "Lens corrections" and enable "Enable corrections profile". Lightroom will look in your JPG or RAW file to see which lens you took this picture with. And will make corrections itself if necessary. And as an extra, Lightroom will also correct other lens errors, such as barrel distortion. That is, straight lines can sometimes be crooked like a barrel in a picture, this is also automatically adjusted.
TIP: advice is to turn this setting on for every photo. So that you get optimal results!
