It was a beautiful day for the wedding couple during their ceremony at Schutterspark in Brunssum. Everything went according to plan until the master of ceremonies decided to make a joke during his speech. The bride burst out laughing, while her husband was somewhat embarrassed by his bride's behavior. This joyful outburst from the bride indicates how happy she was on this special day. Her husband eventually could not suppress laughter either, and the bride and groom were able to continue the ceremony with a smile on their faces.

Who am I?

I am Emile Verhijden, professional photographer, born and raised in Central Limburg ( Heel and Panheel). Now I live for about 30 years in southern Limburg ( Bingelrade, near Brunssum and Sittard).

I have many years of experience and have done many weddings throughout the Netherlands and beyond beautiful destination weddings such as Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, France and Marocco-Marrakech.

I am a wedding photographer with a personal approach, unobtrusively present, going with the flow, being spontaneous, mingling among your guests and tracking down all the beautiful, special, sweet, funny moments that happen on your wedding day. Hey, how nice that you are here! I'm Emile and I have over 15 years of experience as a wedding photographer. Recently I counted and by now I have already had the opportunity to capture 486 weddings. Number 500 is thus quickly approaching!

When I listen to my clients and their reviews read, I am often told that I have a fine dose of humor, which helps make everything go a little smoother. Rest assured...I am not Pipo the Clown, but I understand that the photo shoot on your day can be a little uncomfortable for most. I make sure in a fun way that you feel a little looser! I've seen and experienced a lot, so nothing surprises me anymore.

My biggest tip for you is: try to enjoy your day with a big "G" and don't worry about a missing garland or other details.

I am not going to direct your day. On the contrary, I want to be invisible ( the proverbial 'fly on the wall'). Of course I'm happy to give you tips if needed, but most of all I'll let you enjoy yourself.

On your day, I take lollygagging pictures (thousands). Why do I do that? Because, as I said, I don't want to direct your day. So you can just get on with everything you're doing, like whispering sweet nothings to your partner. Sometimes you might have your eyes closed or your mouth a little crooked, but I know exactly which moment I want to capture, and that is this moment! All the beautiful end results you get of course...agreed upon!

Conditions permitting, I may also use a drone. I have taken two exams for this, and it often produces even more beautiful pictures of you at your best!

Photography is my profession, so I know how to set my camera under all circumstances. Watch out for those dear uncle with his super deluxe camera (which is on automatic mode). You only get married once if all goes well, so choose once well. You'll regret it if it's done amateurishly.
